Overview:
The Clinic Phlebotomist will greet the public, perform designated clerical duties, obtain patient specimens in accordance with standards and procedures as set forth by local, state, and federal agencies and this institution for the purpose of performing diagnostic tests in order to aid the physician in making decisions regarding diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
The Clinic Phlebotomist reports directly to the Clinics Operations Director.

Responsibilities:
1.
Performs phlebotomy with appropriate skill and technique, across the continuum of age groups.
Maintains knowledge skills base.
Performs waived testing accordingly as trainee.
2.
Is current with acceptable CEU requirements.

Performs specimen data entry and other LIS functions as instructed as successfully.
Monitors departmental information resources for changes/announcements (e.
g.
e-mail, bulletin board, mailbox, handouts, etc) 4.
Reviews departmental P&P's annually and/or as revisions are announced.
Completes annual age related competency requirements.
5.
Monitors, documents and helps resolve QA issues.
Identifies problems that can adversely affect patient care and informs supervisor/director when applicable.
Qualifications:
1.
Education a.
) High School Diploma is preferred.
2.
Licensure/Certification a.
) PBT(ASCP) is encouraged.
b.
) BLS Certification within 6 months of employment.
3.
Work Experience a.
) Previous phlebotomy or customer service experience is preferredAbout the Company:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
